Bibliography

Many books have been published relating to the history of the Crowsnest Pass and adjacent areas. This bibliography highlights titles that should be available for reference and that expand on the story of the railway and steamship services that formed the Crowsnest Route as well as references that detail related topics such as mining and logging in the region. The general references also include publications relating to passenger trains that primarily operated on routes other than the Crowsnest Pass but are important to the collections and programs of the Canadian Museum of Rail Travel. Following the general references, a short list of publications is included on mining and the geology of the Crowsnest Pass Route. Many of the publications listed here contain extensive bibliographies including references to government documents, private papers, newspapers, early reports and other sources.
